About Aspects
Aspects has a long and illustrious history in the smartcard industry. Since the company was founded in 1986 it has gone through a number of changes. From a small company that produced testing tools for the mobile market, Aspects grew to become a player in the smartcard OS market. The company took on investment and had some very impressive clients. Eventually, it was recognised that the different divisions were too different to operate under one name. First, the OS division was sold. And in 2006 Aspects Tools was bought by Collis. Collis has been in the smartcard testing business since 1987 and is industry-leading in the e-ID and finance markets.
Aspects has been operating for over ten years. Despite the changes in the company structure, some things remain constant. Aspects continues to focus on providing useful, easy-to-use testing tools to companies in the mobile industry. We strive to provide tools that fill a gap; tools that make testing faster and more streamlined. Our customers turn to us for training, support and consultancy.
Our Products
Aspects Testing Tools is a suite of tools and a hardware platform used in three functional areas:
- Spying/monitoring: monitor the communication between card and handset without interrupting it. These are invaluable for debugging and error finding.
- Card testing: simulate the handset end of the communication. Run repeatable tests to ensure that a card works as it should; profile cards and perform acceptance testing.
- Handset testing: simulate a SIM or USIM and write and test the handset behaviour thoroughly. Test a handsets’ toolkit capabilities. Ensure that a card and a handset works together.
- Training/consultancy: take advantage of our expertise to help plan and complete your projects. Aspects' training team and consultants can help you in many different ways, from training users to use Aspects' tools more efficiently to writing bespoke applications.
